We designed a content automation engine that takes a single spreadsheet of content ideas and automatically generates, designs, schedules, and publishes posts across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok — with AI-generated captions and hashtags tailored to each platform.
Challenge
The gym franchise had 3 locations and was posting inconsistently. The marketing manager spent 15+ hours per week manually creating and scheduling content across platforms, and engagement was declining.
Solution
We built a custom automation workflow using Zapier and OpenAI's GPT API. The system reads content topics from a Google Sheet, generates platform-optimised captions and hashtags with AI, pulls matching stock imagery, and schedules everything automatically via Buffer's API — with a Slack approval step before publishing.
Results
Content output tripled (from 12 to 36 posts/month). Engagement rate increased by 45%. Marketing manager reclaimed 12 hours/week, reinvesting in strategy and community engagement.
